I just traveled to have the SADI procedure done with Dr. Sandy and her staff on Monday, September 7th 2026. The whole experience has been awesome. Everyone is so nice and so caring. My surgery went great, and my healing process has been manageable. I enjoyed my stay here for my surgery, and I am so glad to have met Dr. Sandy, Merit, Enrique and the rest of the staff. I cannot wait to get home and continue my recovery and start living my brand new life with my hubby and my kiddos!

My experience with gastric sleeve surgery at this facility was exceptional from start to finish. Dr. Sandy and her entire staff (Dr. Claudio, Consuelo, Enrique, Asdrubal) provided outstanding care, compassion, and professionalism throughout the process. I had my surgery on my actual birthday, which was a gift to myself, and one of the nurses surprised me with handmade Happy Birthday signs — a gesture that meant more than she knew and made an already emotional day feel truly special.

Dr. Sandy and her team were absolutely amazing. I am so excited to begin my new chapter in life. The team was really great and payed close attention to my needs. The communication the team puts in is outstanding and the comfort the nurses provided was something I really appreciated. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire team at this practice! From before my gastric sleeve surgery through my recovery afterward, everyone was incredibly welcoming, kind, and supportive. They went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, informed, and cared for every step of the way.

Dr. Sandy was absolutely fantastic. She greeted me personally before my surgery, took the time to answer all of my questions, and made me feel so reassured going into the procedure. She also followed up with me afterward to make sure I was doing well, which meant so much to me.

Literally the best. The second you leave the airport you are always being taken care of everyone feels like family and they truly try their hardest to make you feel at home I cannot recommend doctor sandy and her team any more . Enrique and merit are your number one fans and are Always by your side! Every nurse is super sweet and and all the doctors are extremely understanding and constantly check on you!

I’m very glad I chose this surgical group for my SADI-S surgery. I did a lot of research beforehand, and from everything I learned, Dr. Sandy is one of the top—if not the top—SADI-S surgeons in the world. The fact that she trains other surgeons on the procedure was incredibly reassuring to me and gave me a lot of confidence in choosing her. This is in addition to her board certifications, her being a master surgeon, all of which I double checked (because I was nervous).

The team who helped me sign up for the surgery, and helped me beforehand and during recovery, were incredibly kind and personable. This includes Merit, Enrique, and Jon.

The quality of the medical providers and staff is clearly very important to this group. All of the doctors were obviously very good at what they do, and the nurses were competent, friendly, and helpful. I’m usually a difficult person to start an IV on, but they got it on the first try every single time, which honestly impressed me.

The physician who performed my pre-op examination was exceptionally thorough. This is Fernando Vega Frias. He noticed and explained things that previous US physicians had missed, and I was so impressed that I’m actually considering traveling to Tijuana regularly to see him as my primary physician.

The nutritionist, Asdrubal Castro, is also excellent—knowledgeable, practical, and very helpful.

My hospital room was large and comfortable, with big windows. Everything was very clean, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the chicken broth was amazing. Sergio, the driver, was also great and made the transportation part of the experience easy and comfortable.

Most importantly, I felt that I was in the hands of highly skilled medical professionals. Bariatric surgery is a major decision, and I’m very grateful that I chose such an experienced surgeon and team.

I accompanied my wife on her surgery journey with Dr. Sandy. The experience was top notch. Her staff was incredibly attentive and kind. The round the clock care by nurses pre and post surgery was amazing and professional. The accommodations for my wife as well as me the companion were everything we couldve asked for and more.

From start to finish it was a smooth ride. The team was wonderful and made sure I understood every thing. They even helped me with a charger for my phone as I left mine at home. The pain was minimal and I feel wonderful on my second day postop. Highly recommend Dr. Sandy for any bairiatric surgery you are considering.
